I’ll not screw up this time. In case if you’re wondering, I posted my Top 5 Best Anime Openings for this season at the wrong time. Just to make sure I’ll keep an eye when I post something on my blog. Got sidetracked a bit there and I need your utmost attention. Now, here’s my pick for the best EDs this Fall 2018!
#5 Another colony – That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
This is another case where the ED sounds more like an OP. I already heard the opening song but it felt as if it was swapped at the last minute. Is this a new trend these days? I’m not sure, but whoever made this deserves praise.
#4 Reset – Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru
Unexpectedly, this is the first song I’ve seen that’s available on Spotify even before the anime aired. What I like is the first few seconds giving off a tranquil feel. As the song goes on you can sense the determination at the chorus which fits the theme of running. I could play this if I get to run one day.
#3 Buntline Special – Double Decker! Doug & Kirill
The actual ED starts at 1:30. I can’t find a separate video of it or even the full version since it’s difficult to find. The title of the song actually refers to the weapons the characters use in the anime. It’s basically a modified gun. It’s quite rare for me to hear an ending song that has rock influences.
#2 Fukashigi no Carte – Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai
Following the trend of shows that feature women singing their characters, this is the best one yet. It seems they can’t make a separate ED focusing on each girl in the show but having them sing together instead is a plus. If they actually did that it would imitate the Monogatari Series as how that show makes separate OPs for their characters.
#1 Orange Iro – Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudoubu
Not what you were expecting? Sometimes the better shows just comes in at a different time. As expected from a prominent studio, they know what they are doing. It’s been a long time since I last heard ChouCho because she also sang the OP for Hyouka. If only more and more songs are legally available to stream and better yet to purchase.
