It’s been awhile since my last list. I’ve been focusing more on my episode reviews and forgot some of the usual content I make. They will come, I promise. I only need better management. Back to the subject, I recognize the music of the anime more than the actual show this season. Maybe it’s because I’ve been watching less or college’s been taking its toll to me. Better stop being negative here. I’m sharing my 5 best Anime Openings for Winter 2019!
#5 Kono Yubi Tomare – Kakegurui××
It seems this anime has lost its popularity after Season 1. I’m keeping up with this one through my other sources. The good thing is that the opening is better than the first one. Hearing JUNNA again makes me a bit doubtful at first after hearing the OP from The Ancient Magus Bride, but she proved me wrong. She’s still got it.
#4 Touch Off – The Promised Neverland
This is the first time I’ve listened to this artist. He’s best known for making OPs from the popular shounen anime. I love the saxophone solo after the intro lyrics. It sets up as a signal for escape. If you get what I’m saying, a simple Google search will spoil you inevitably.
#3 Kaen – Dororo
The blend between Japanese hip-hop and traditional beats goes so well. Especially when the beats drops in the chorus. There has been a trend of old manga adapting to the new audiences today and most of them did justice. You get to experience a different kind of story instead of the usual ones we get every season.
#2 Love Dramatic – Kaguya-sama: Love is War
At first this was supposed to be my OP of the season except I heard another song. The singer is known as the King of Love Songs in Japan and yeah, he deserves the title. I do wonder what the anime could be like if it was done by a different studio. Would the OP be different?
#1 Kawaki wo Ameku – Domestic Girlfriend
I’ve found a new artist to follow on Spotify! Didn’t watch the anime from the start since from what I’ve heard it’s full of… events. I should’ve prepared some snacks from the beginning. The song however, is another story. Her raw voice makes it so real that I even saw an acoustic version somewhere online. Seriously, go check that one.
